Job Purpose:
- To support the Manager in aspects of appropriate service provision- ensuring policies and procedures, codes of conduct and practice, and all relevant legislation are adhered to.
- To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate resident physiotherapy care in order to maintain or improve current physical abilities whilst promoting the resident’s privacy, dignity, independence and choice.
- To liaise with outside agencies to ensure that the resident receives the best available treatment and input relative to their needs.
Care Management:
- To attend and participate in all appropriate meetings eg. Staff and Residents meetings.
- To ensure good relations and effective communication with relatives and other visitors.
- Identify areas where training may be of benefit for the improvement of knowledge and skills for the care team as a whole.
General:
- To participate in the sales and marketing of the home- ensure potential residents and the advocates/ relatives are provided with accurate and up to date information regarding the Home and what we have to offer.
- Ensure the safety and security of all those within the home at all times.
- Maintain open and effective communications with other professionals visiting the Home.
- Ensure that you continue to comply with all statutory requirement and legislation- ie Health and Safety, COSHH, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Environmental Health etc.
- Ensure Warm Water Therapy records including those relating to the chemical checks are accurate and correctly reflect any actions taken and the results of those actions.
- Ensure outside professionals are contacted regarding any issues relating to the Pools, if they are unable to be resolved in-house, ie- leaking boiler, deranged chemical levels, broken lights etc.
